Hi again! Today is one of those rarely days where we get to see the sun and it’s even Sunday!!! What a better occasion to do some new makeup looks for the blog!
Yesterday I went to the beautician whom I had seen in a while and the complimented my on the makeup I was wearing, so I decided to do a blog post about it. It is, yet again, a very easy makeup look. Enough of the introduction, let’s get to the details.Yesterday, I took the third trial of the three NARS Sheer Glow Foundations: Punjab. Though I like the texture, the color is too dark for me. I have now come to the conclusion that my shade is Fiji which is the shade I used today for the look. I’ve always wanted to buy a liquid highlighter by NARS such as Copacabana, however the only one available in Luxembourg is Orgasm………… I only possess one liquid highlighter which is Benefit’s High Beam. I took a little amount of the highlighter and mixed it with the NARS Sheer Glow foundation. I might have not used enough liquid highlighter as I did not see any difference whatsoever in terms of glow on the skin. Nevertheless, I went on to the rest of the skin prep which has remained unchanged since my last posts (see list of the product used below). Again, it might be a smoky look, but I kept it light in order to be wearable for the day.
Let’s get to the eyes. Once I had primed the lids with the Zoeva eye primer, I applied the eyeshadow bark by Sleek, from the “Au Naturel #1” palette. It is a chocolate brown, matte finish color, easy to apply, yet very powder. I also applied under the lower waterline. Then I applied the shade Naked from the UrbanDecay Naked 1 palette in the crease and blended the two colors together until there was no harsh line visible anymore. If you want a proper blending result, you must use a clean blending brush. The results won’t be the same if you use a brush, even with a very light eyeshadow. It really makes a difference. Once the colors were well blended, I applied Vanilla Bean by Makeupgeek on the brow bone and a little Shimma Shimma at the highest point of the brow bone. I used the same eyeshadow to highlight the inner corner of the eyes. Finally it applied a little eye pencil very close to the lash line, both upper and bottom one and smudged it with a pencil brush and a tiny amount of the color Corrupt by Makeupgeek. Finally I applied mascara and style my eyebrows.
As I wore this makeup during the afternoon, I kept the lips nude by using the Basic lipliner in #11 and the Innocent lipstick by Makeupgeek.
I hope you like it. Thank you for your time!
