Hello again!
Something like a month ago, my friend Nora asked me to do her makeup for a photoshoot she was having with her family at her parents house.
Obviously knowing Nora and considering what the shooting was about, I could not go to crazy with the makeup. So as I kept the eyes very natural, I concentrated the attention of the makeup on the skin. Having myself a lot of skin issues, preparing the skin and the makeup application itself is not only something very important to me, but also something I really enjoy doing.
Nora has a very dry skin so preparing it for the makeup was even more important. With this in mind I started applying a generous coat of Embyrolisse Lait Crème concentrée to hydrate her skin. Had I known how dry her skin was, I would have applied Weleda’s Calendula creme. This creme by Weleda is the one I use when I see a skin (even my one) screaming Mayday Mayday. Since it is richer in comparison with the creme by Embryolisse, it penetrates the skin for a deeper moisture and in my personal opinion, it brings an immediate healthy glow to your skin.
In terms of foundation, I applied MAC’s F&B in C1 and a few drops of White. At this point I was only looking to even out her skin tone as she doesn’t have any imperfections. Having a great amount of silicone F&B brings an natural brightness to the skin. I only emphasized the highest points of her face with my favorite hightligher, MAC’s Whisper of Gilt (limited edition).

Hacen un par de semanas una amiga del colegio, Nora, me preguntó si la podía maquillar para una sesión de fotos que tuve con su familia en la casa de sus padres.
Obviamente conociendo a Nora y teniendo en cuenta el tema de la sesión, no quería atraerme con el maquillaje. Como decidí de dejar los ojos naturales, concentré todo el maquillaje en la piel. Teniendo yo misma una piel muy sensible y problemática, no sólo considero muy importante la preparación de la piel antes del maquillaje sino disfruto también mucho de ese proceso.
Como Nora tiene una piel muy seca, empezé a aplicarle una capa generosa de la crema hydratante de Embryolisse (enlace en la versión inglesa). No me acordaba que su piel fuese tan seca sino le hubiera aplicado la hidratante de Weleda a base de calendula. Siendo más rico, aporta una hidratación más profunda. También he notado que deja la piel más luminosa que la otra crema.
En cuanto a la base, utilice la F&B de MAC en el tono C1 con unas gotitas de la blanca. Su composición hace que la piel se queda luminosa, como satinada. Para terminar, apliqué mi iluminador favorito, Whisper of Gilt de MAC (edición limitada) también en los puntos más altos del rostro.
